I carved a poem upon a tree the words of love so dear to me,
Upon each letter I did write all the love carved with a knife,
It took so long to carve the words "I love you" I love you" with all my heart,
And now the tree has grown quite big I still see the poem iI carved on it,
The only words that stand out proud are the words
"I love you" I love you" With all my heart.
